Improving Auditing Process through Interactive Learning and Data Tracking

Improving the effectiveness and engagement of audit team training through interactive learning material and data tracking

Challenges

Deloitte Audit team wanted to encourage its auditors to go through the learning material so that there are as few errors as possible during the actual auditing process. However, the existing learning material was non-interactive and non-engaging, making it difficult for auditors to retain the information and apply it during the auditing process. In addition, there was no tracking of trainee data, and the assessment process was boring and based on Q&A.

Solutions

To address these challenges, Digital Agents Interactive implemented a scenario-based 3D training and assessment platform. Instead of providing the trainees with direct learning material, the platform presented them with a story. This made the learning experience more engaging and interactive, as the story would only proceed if the trainee paid attention.

The scenario also included an embedded assessment system, so that trainees did not have to go through a separate assessment process. This ensured that the trainees were held accountable for their learning, and were required to repeat the module if they did not pay attention. All of the trainees’ interactions were tracked for later analysis, allowing Deloitte to monitor their progress and identify areas for improvement.
